Thoughts

So i have been home for a bit over two months now, and since being back i have had the chance to really reflect on my trip and gather my thoughts.
1. This world we live in is beautiful.
2. There is much to see, with to little time.
3. Carpe diem every day
4. Slow down and "smell the rose's"

There is much more but i think i will save that for a later post.

I still plan to post the rest of the photos of my trip.

No clue who still reads this thing but i plan to post random pictures of things going on with me. Thanks for reading

Home

1 month
Over 4,xxx Miles
19 states
Countless memories & life lessons
This is the first chance i have had to sit down and write this out since getting back home on Monday night around 11:30 p.m.. I got a call with a job offer to do something i love  while I was on the road back home, so 1,000 miles didnt seem like much to drive in one day
After being on the road for just one month i have learned so many life lessons and experienced so many great things that my life will never be the same as it was before this roadtrip.  I have made so many memories and met many nice people, that there isn't any possible way this trip could have been any better.  The views I saw were absolutely  breathing. And the air I breath now even seems more crisp. I see the beauty in things I didnt realize before, and carpe diem everyday now. Thank you so much to all my friends and family that made this journey possible, I could not have done it without you all.

I will be posting more pictures when i get a chance to get them off of my camera.

I took a few pictures of my car fully packed, just thought I would share.

Mansfield Texas

For the past two days my Aunt was kind enough to let me crash at her house. And since being here I have had the chance to see family I haven't seen in years and experience sights never before seen. Some of which includes the Fort worth stockyard cattle drive, which is shown in the pictures but you can't really see the longhorns. And also to a biker bar named loco coyote where hamburgers are the sizes of hubcaps. Texas has been a very fun place to visit and made even better by family.

Rockies part 3

Find the moose and the deer!
The Rockies were absolutely breath taking. I first went up around the Denver area, then again while i was staying in Trinidad. Pictures from the Spanish peaks, and monument lake will be uploaded once i get back home and have a chance to get them from my real camera. I stayed in Denver for a day and a half then again in Trinidad. Thank you to my family who let me crash at their house's. In Mansfield Texas now.

Going south

So after much thought, it looks like I will not be making it to the west coast... The very first day I left home and got to my first destination is was pouring rain and high winds, (which I was fine with) and that lasted the majority of the time I was there. After leaving north Carolina beach state park and making my way towards Raleigh, I drove through a monsoon. And after leaving there for Knoxville I drove through the winter storm Achilles, while on the top of a mountain I might add.
After staying in Knoxville for a week or so of beautiful weather. I departed from there to go to Nashville. Again the day I left, rain.
After leaving Nashville and going through Kentucky, And through
St. Louis I got to see the gateway arch ( man, pictures do not do that monster of a building any justice) but once I got out of ST. Louis It poured and was quite windy. And the possibilities of tornados became known while I was in Columbia M.O. which was right in the path of all the tornado warnings. So in order to try to bet the storm I left M.O. at 5:30 in the morning after being woken up by guns being shot in the air by fellow campers that partied a bit too hard the night before. So when I Left there I drove through Kansas city, (which by the way is not in Kansas.) And I was met by even more severe weather in Sioux falls where I stayed in a hotel instead of my tent for my safety. And Today when I left Sioux Falls. I encountered some of the most stressful weather I have ever had to deal with. At one point I did see a tornado start to form. The winds were just tossing my car around as if it were not even there. So driving through that for around 300 and some miles to get to Mount Rushmore and find that the service to my cell phone had been canceled due to excessive traveling. Was fun to say the least. So while at Mount Rushmore I hiked some of the trails, took beautiful pictures of the black hills of South Dakota, while fighting wind. Then I tried to find a way to get in contact with my worried family. Once I was able to speak to my mom I was informed that at my next stop it had been snowing... I know my limits. I have absolutely no experience in driving in snowy conditions especially while going through rough terrain like Yellowstone. So I’m headed south towards Denver after being on the road from 6:30 am to 10:45 P.M. I found a hotel in a tiny little one traffic light town somewhere in Wyoming to get out of the wind And get a bit of sleep.

The trip is not over, more pictures coming your way! - J.T.

Mount Rushmore

Made it to Mount Rushmore! Amazing sights to be seen in the western part of South Dakota.

Sioux falls, South Dakota.

Stayed in a hotel last night and again tonight due to weather. Lets hope for no tornados!

Columbia M.O.

After leaving Joelton T.N. I headed towards Columbia M.O. along the way I got a chance to see the arc in ST. Louis and man is that thing huge. Pictures really do it no justice. So after setting up camp here in Columbia I decided to check out some local scenery. Off to South Dakota tomorrow.
