After leaving Raleigh I had to fun opportunity of driving through the winter storm "Achilles" while on the top of the great smokey mountain's. Needless to say if you have been watching the news or live anywhere in the path of the storm you know the amount of rain and wind it brought with it. After crossing the Tennessee state line I stopped at the welcome center to stretch my legs and to get a few pictures. I am staying in Knoxville for the next week or so, so be prepared for many beautiful pictures of the great smokies and the surrounding scenes.
